Ticonderoga, NY - September 24, 2014 - The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) is thrilled to announce they have recently launched their new website ( to better serve their members and the Ticonderoga Area as a whole. The Chamber’s new website will allow the Chamber to better fulfill their mission and achieve their vision. The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce serves, markets, and promotes their members and the Ticonderoga Area including Ticonderoga, Crown Point, Hague, Moriah, & Putnam, NY.

The Chambers site has a whole new design, feel, and technology built into it. The site now serves their members in a new capacity with a new business directory, business search tool, expanded categories, and more. In coordination with the website the TACC Team has also launched and integrated a Chamber database program. The database program is connected with the website to create the business directory, calendar events, and allows the Chamber to keep all business and event information updated daily. The website also creates a central point of entry for the Ticonderoga Area connecting other organizations and communities via the site.

Visitors and community members can now directly request area information and events can be submitted directly online to the Chamber. The site is full of useful information for members, the community, and visitors. Content is being updated daily and additional information and links will be added. Press Releases from the Chamber are also uploaded to the site the same day they are released to the media.

The launching of the new site and database is just the first step of the Chambers plans. Both will allow additional resources for members and the area as a whole. Eventually each member will have their own log in area, where they can update information, offer specials and promotions, and more. In addition the Chamber plans to launch a marketing package on the site which will allow members to have additional advertising opportunities on The database program will also eventually do all billing for the Chamber as well as allow them to provide additional information and communication with their members.

The site is a Responsive web design (RWD). RWD is a web design approach aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience allowing easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling across a wide range of devices (from mobile phones to desktop computer monitors).

The process of creating the new site has been long as we had to balance many duties, projects, initiatives, and events but it has arrived. We are truly honored to work for our members and the Ticonderoga Area a whole. Chamber members are asked to keep the Chamber updated with new information, hours of operations, special events, and more. Members are also encouraged to take advantage of the Monthly Member News. Information must be submitted to the Chamber by the first Monday of each month. A Weekly Memo is sent to members to keep the informed of upcoming events, projects, seminars, marketing opportunities, and business concerns. Ticonderoga Area business, organizations, and committees are asked to submit event information on a regular basis to the Chamber for the central calendar of events.
