The Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP) Promotions Committee in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce and Silver Bay YMCA Teen Center, as well as local businesses and organization are pleased to announce they will host the Fourth Annual Ticonderoga End of Winter Carnival on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 and that new aspects including fireworks display have been added to enhance the event. This FREE family friendly event will include activities all day and throughout the evening. Business promotions and specials will be available all weekend.

Schedule of Events:

11:00 – 3:00 PM: Carnival & Activities – Ticonderoga Armory & Recreational Areas

Highlight of activities will include a variety carnival games, bouncy house, kids’ pirate show, full face art (low cost), ice skating (bring your own ice skates, some may be available), snowshoeing (bring your own snowshoes, some may be available), broom ball, music, crafts, photo booth,  snowmobile rides, snow painting, mini-golf, giveaways, and much more. All of the activities except ice skating, snowshoeing, broom ball, and snowmobile rides will take place at the Ticonderoga Armory. Ice skating and broom ball will take place at the Ticonderoga Municipal Skating Rink, Snowshoeing will take place on the LaChute Trail closest to the Municipal Parking Lot next to the Elks, and Snowmobile rides will take place near the Ticonderoga Little League Park. Some activities are weather dependent. Connect with the volunteers and staff at the Ticonderoga Armory that day to confirm information about available activities.  The Kid’s Pirate Show will take place at 11:00 AM at the Ticonderoga Armory. Food will also be available for purchase at the event including hotdogs, bottled water, popcorn, and other items (low cost).  Complimentary Cotton Candy will also be available.  All food for this event will be available at the Ticonderoga Armory.

5:30 – 7:30 PM: Outdoor Campfire & Family Movie Night – Ticonderoga Armory

An outdoor campfire will include hot chocolate & S’more. A family movie will also be shown inside the Ticonderoga Armory and popcorn will be provided.

8:00 PM: Fireworks Over Bicentennial Park

Fireworks display provided by Santore World Famous Fireworks will be shown over Bicentennial Park. In addition to the park a section of the road above the park will be closed for viewing.

The fireworks are being made possible by the support of the Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership, Stewarts Shops, International Paper Company, Bridge Point Communication, Brannock Properties, Santore World Famous Fireworks, and Optics of Ticonderoga.

The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) has also coordinated a variety of business promotions and specials that will be available March 2nd, 3rd, & 4th, 2018.  The Ticonderoga End of Winter Carnival 2018 Promotions & Specials flyer is available at www.ticonderogany.com, at the Chamber Office, or from participating businesses. You must have the flyer or mentioned End of Winter Carnival to receive the promotions. Participating businesses offering promotions & specials include: Burgoyne Grill, Burleigh’s Luncheonette, Dunkin Donuts of Ticonderoga, LaChute Books, Libby’s Bakery Café, Maddens Pub,  Maplefields/Amatos, Montcalm Liquor, Optics of Ticonderoga, Stewarts Shops, The Country Florist & Gifts, The Hot Biscuit Diner, TiNY Wellness Center, Ticonderoga Natural Foods Co-Op, Tractor Supply, Wagon Wheel Restaurant, and Your Quilt Shoppe.

Sponsors for the event in addition to the Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership, Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, and Silver Bay YMCA Teen Center, include Stewarts Shops, International Paper Company, Bridge Point Communication, Brannock Properties, Santore World Famous Fireworks, Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism, Town of Ticonderoga, Ticonderoga Elks Lodge, Ticonderoga Festival Guild, Walmart of Ticonderoga, Optics of Ticonderoga, Adirondack Trail Riders, Five Nations Golf, Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union, Glens Falls National Bank, The Country Florist & Gifts, SkyZone, and McDonalds of Ticonderoga. The Ticonderoga High School and the local Boy & Cub Scouts are also participating in the event by providing volunteers.
